Random Post…

Arrgghhh! It’s been five days since my last post. I can’t believe how fast my vacation will soon end. I’ve been dealing with my enrolment for two days now, and now that I’m irregular, the process is much longer, talk about prolonging my agony! Anyway, for five days, my head was exploding with ideas on what to post. But sadly, all of it dissolves too quickly as I count how many hours is left for me to enjoy.

Also, I’ve been rereading HP book 7 and I’m only halfway to it. The first and last time I read it took me 22 hrs. (hehe! Adik! Natulog naman ako ng 2 hrs noon). So I decided to read it again, I maybe missing some important details. Now that I’m reading it I can’t help but to look for hints of Dumbledore’s gayness. Wala namang masama, but it adds a different appeal to readers.

I dropped on a near mall to grab a quick lunch this afternoon (1:30pm). At first I thought if there was a SALE. But I immediately noticed kids swarming in Halloween costumes. I totally forgot its Hallow’s eve! E kasi naman nung bata tayo, di uso yang costume party na ganyan. Hehe! The kids been trick or treating inside the mall and I even saw kids carrying their mom’s bags filled with candies! (Filipino kids are really resourceful eh!). I was thinking if I’ll have a kid, will I let him/her join in this ruckus? Will you let your kid apply make-ups and pretend to be monsters for a day?

I was also thinking of how lucky these kids grow in this era. Most of them know how to use a computer at a young age, most of them have cp’s, most have high-tech games and gadgets, most of them just have everything. (Sadly, some of my batchmates in my school doesn’t even know how to copy paste a file) not being a show-off here but damn, this is basic! So, going back to the topic, I was saying, these kids are lucky having all of this but the cons is, can they still enjoy “patintero”, “teks”, “trumpo”, hagarang-upo”, “luksong-baka”, “sipa” and all other games? I said before on my old post that I don’t have playmates here in my home but I played most of those games in my school. I just hope kids will not forget these games and they will pass this to the next generation. Naks!

Lastly, on the spirit of the coming holidays, I would like to say thanks to my Lolo. My grandfather on my father’s side died 5 years ago due to emphysema. I wasn’t able to be really close to him, but I remember him before he died. I had a little achievement then, and he was so proud of me that every visitor he had that time, he mentions my name. To be honest, he is one of the reasons why I chose this path. I miss my grandpa, and if I can turn back time, surely we we’ll have great conversations and personally thank him. Eveytime I visit his tomb (I usually visit after the actual day and alone), I talk to him like he’s still here, I tell him stories and I know he listens.

Oh, before I forgot, if you want a daily dose of vitamin C from kalamansi or lemon, I suggest, you drink it in cold preparation. Vitamin C is a heat labile vitamin. It means, it easily dissolves/disentigrates in hot/warm temperature. So its just useless when you drink it hot. Unless, you’re just after the acerbic taste.

first time here..interesting post...small parts comprising the whole post with different topics...anyway, i agree, in my childhood, i was not able to enjoy the same things the children tody are enjoying but i am very satisfied...at least, i got to be a real child...carefree and all that...tsaka me panahon pa to catch up on what we've missed pero yung mga bata ngayon, we'll never get to savor the pleasure of just playing patintero under the moonlight...

bloghoppin btw...

Naalala ko tuloy ang namayapa ko na ring Lolo sa mother-side. Gusto ko rin syang kausap kasi ang daming mapupulot sa mga kwento nya.

Salamat sa info about the kalamansi juice and the vitamin C. Ngayon ko lang nalaman ito. Miss ko na nga ang kalamansi, lemon kasi talaga ang nandito.
