I received a quote last night in all caps and it says…
“LIFE’S TRIALS SHOULD MAKE US BETTER – NOT BITTER”
When you experience disappointments or failure, isn’t it a mechanism for us to be a little bit bitter? Not really bitter in a way that is too obvious, deep inside we have this means of not letting others know what we really feel. We shy ourselves away or maybe just a little aloof to the people around us. It’s a way of keeping our pride and securing our ego. It’s uncontrollable for me... Maybe I’m a bit distant. I have this attitude of just talking to those who are only and really close to me. If we’re not really that close and I’m in the middle of feeling disappointed, I have this tendency to be aloof.
I know this is wrong, but can others be just sensitive? I’m guessing its their torture device or something. You know those questions being thrown at you with invisible grin at the one who’s asking you? You kept on thinking, ”oh well, maybe they are just concerned” but, please… they don’t even know my middle name or where I even f’cking stay!
This is the main reason why are we bitter. Am I right? All we can do is just be pleasant or sometimes be a bit rude. (Maybe a lil’ raise of an eyebrow will do). Seriously, if this happens to you, just ignore them. They are just total waste of time.
As for the above quote, yes, I am guilty of that. But I’m learning to control it. Bitter is a bit harsh maybe a hostile will do!
BTW, this is a quick post. Its 3pm and still have class on 4! I’ll post something soon.
ARggghhh! good thing it only lasted for 5 mins!=)
