To tell the truth, I can't help but be a little afraid
I think your love might be a little too much for me.”

*I first heard this song under the OST of the 1996 film Striptease starring Demi Moore. Though it didn’t made to the original cut for the OST, I remember its music video showing some clips from the said movie.

Before there's hell to pay
Give me room to lay the law and let me go

Excuse me if I post this, I've been listening to Adele for the pas few days.

Her voice is very calming.

Very Soothing.

I know most of you knew her with Chasing Pavements.

But here are two songs that i really like from her.

Make You Feel My Love - Adele
"I know you haven't made your mind up yet
But I would never do you wrong
I've known it from the moment that we met
No doubt in my mind where you belong"

*i think this is a Bob Dylan Original.

Now and Then - Adele
"Then our eyes cry
And souls sigh
So that we know
That it hurts"

"you are a fever, you are a fever
you ain't born typical"

Heard this song while watching TV and looked up it online. hindi naman ako nahirapan na hanapin gawa ng lyrics. haha

I Want You to Want Me by Letters to Cleo

"I'll shine up my old brown shoes
Put on a brand new shirt
Get home early from work
If you say..."

I knew this song after i watched 10 Things I hate About You, OST of that movie for me is superb. 90's indeed is one of the best decade for music.

FNT by Semisonic

"I'm surprised that you've never been told before
That you're lovely and you're perfect
And that somebody wants you"

Another trackf from 10 Things I hate About You. the beat of this song always gets me into the mood. if i can drive siguro isa to sa mga paulit ulit na papatugtugin ko. well most songs of Semisonic.

Something New, Something Old. Part 2.

To continue the list of music in my playlist. here’s my lineup of songs that I listen most of the time.

By the way both are actually kinda old songs. hehe

Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve

I fell in love immediately when I heard this song after watching Cruel Intentions starring Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Phillippe in high school, performed by British alternative band The Verve. This song serves as the lead track on their album Urban Hymns.

Seriously this song sets my mood. Imagine the combination of violins and alternative music. Eargasm! Hehehe.

“Cause it's a bittersweet symphony this life.
Trying to make ends meet, try to find somebody then you die”

Lux Æterna by Clint Mansell

This was originally composed by Clint Mansell for the movie Requiem for A Dream Starring Jennifer Connelly and my look-alike Jared Leto (haha). If you try to listen to the song, what runs through your head? To me, I felt like doing something heroic and sometimes escaping to my fear and mistakes.

Weird right?

salamat nga pala sa pagfollow sa akin. yung 100th follower ko ay may award pakiclaim na lang sa email mo po sir. hehehe. :P

I've been listening to these a lot lately.

Robyn ft. Röyksopp - None of Dem

“I’m so bored in this town
Take me away from here
Play me some kind of new sound
Something true and sincere

The beats of this song makes me feel doing something bad or nasty things. Haha. Parang eargasm lang :P

i think it's much better if you need to listen to this song with a headset. :P

The Black Keys - She's Long Gone

“And she's not made like those other girls

Her lashes flap and they smack men back

I can listen to this while driving, problem is aside from that I don’t have a car of my own yet, I don’t know how to drive. Wait may driver naman e. :P

Mozart: Symphony No. 40

I always listen to Mozart when doing something like ironing my uniform or washing my clothes in the sink. Ahahah. Ewan ko ba. Lo. Minsan I play this before I review. Not sure if this helps, pero maganda naman ang result ng exam. Haha. I know weirdo! lol

"You And I"

"You And I"
by Stevie Wonder

Here we are on earth together,
It's you and I,
God has made us fall in love, it's true,
I've really found someone like you

Will it stay the love you feel for me, will it stay,
That you will be by my side
To see me through,
Until my life is through

Well, in my mind, we can conquer the world,
In love you and I, you and I, you and I

I am glad at least in my life I found someone
That may not be here forever to see me through,
But I found strength in you,
I only pray that I have shown you a brighter day,
Because that's all that I am living for, you see,
Don't worry what happens to me

Cause' in my mind, you will stay here always,
In love, you and I, you and I, you and I, you and I
In my mind we can conquer the world
In love, you and I, you and I, you and I

X's - I'm trying to learn singing this song (in my range :D)...
Whoever you are, in 5 years, i'll keep my promise and sing this for you.

Dissecting The Lyrics, Part 2

I’ll be gone for a while; I promise I’ll be back. Naks! Hehe. I just have to do something necessary and be back in a week. Don’t worry; I’ll visit your blogs if I’ll find an extra time. For now I want you to enjoy the following music. I copied the lyrics of each song that I like. I hope you’ll love them as well!

I've been learning to live without you now
But I miss you sometimes
The more I know, the less I understand
All the things I thought I knew, I'm learning them again
I've been tryin' to get down to the Heart of the Matter
But my will gets weak
And my thoughts seem to scatter
But I think it's about forgiveness
Forgiveness
Even if, even if you don't love me anymore
-Heart of the Matter - India Arie, Testimony: Vol. 1, Life & Relationship

You never minded calling me a child
Well, I guess that's how I acted all the while
But You live through every tantrum, You see through every lie
Though they seem to be more common
I just wanted You to know why oh why
-Unforgetful You – Jars of Clay, If I Left the Zoo

So what do you do when somebody you're devoted to

Suddenly just stops loving you and it seems they haven't got a clue
Of the pain that rejection is putting you through
-Breakdown – Mariah Carey, Butterfly

If I told you things I did before
Told you how I used to be
Would you go along with someone like me?
If you knew my story word for word
Had all of my history
Would you go along with someone like me?
-Young Folks - Peter bjorn and John, Writer’s Block

Tell me did the wind sweep you off your feet
Did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of day
And head back to the Milky Way
And tell me, did Venus blow your mind
Was it everything you wanted to find
And did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there
-Drops of Jupiter – Train, Drops of Jupiter

Counting all different ideas drifting away
Past and present, they don't matter, now the future's sorted out
Watch her moving in elliptical patterns
Think it's not what you say, what you say is way too complicated
For a minute thought I couldn't tell how to fall out

-1901 – Phoenix, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix

You don't have to put up a fight
You don't have to always be right
Let me take some of the punche
For you tonight
Listen to me now
I need to let you know
You don't have to go in alone
And it's you when I look in the mirror
And it's you when I don't pick up the phone
Sometimes you can't make it on your own
-Sometimes You Can't Make It on Your Own – U2, How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb

Dissecting the Lyrics

Jars of Clay –Tea and Sympathy

I've been listening to this song a lot lately. I know it's not intended for someone and i blame it on the rainy weather that we have now. :D

I got this Interpretation about the song online

It’s unrequited love. The girl continually goes to another guy or family or friends in order to have that "tea and sympathy" that kindness when she's upset. The guy doesn't intend to leave the castle, "their relationship, their history." Their love still remains inside it as a captive waiting to be had or "rescued" in the tower, where they are supposed to strive to reach since love is perfect and cannot be reached to perfection but merely striven for. The victory songs, the good moments in the relationship are now out of tune because only bad memories pervade her thoughts. He's telling the girl, this relationship does not have to end, we can work it out, work it out with "me" and not anyone else. This is our problem. The words that break are hurtful to both of them and yet the waitress, the personification of their love seeks to clean it up. The guy takes in the pain by slowly drinking in. The bag of leaves, all the words and thoughts in his head that torment him to suppress his sadness, bitterness, grief over trying to get this girl to come back and resolve problems with him has left him bitter "in the taste of the tea" and the waitress, rather Love, tries to sweeten it back up with "a lump of sugar or two." The outro of the song emphasizes the couple can work this out. It's not over, just work it out together as the unified body and "one" that they are, instead of running away to third parties to solve and numb the pain, because the source of the problem is the only way to truly eliminate it.
