Vacation Part 3: A Gloomy Morning in Vigan

I should’ve included this post to my last. Sabi nga nung iba nagiging travel blog na daw ako. Lol. Pero, it’s quite recent lang naman na nagstart ako magtravel. Last year I think was CWC, then this year Pagudpud and Vigan.

So where were we ended last time? Ahhhh! So we turned the lights off and slept from 10pm and my 2 mobile phones that I set on 6am, alarmed. One played Lenny Kravitz - Are you gonna go my way and the other played Phoenix – 1901. After our morning rituals, mine was masturbate, shower, brush my teeth, wash my face, apply deo, dry hair, apply moisturizer, and at around 7 in the morning, we went downstairs and ate our free breakfast. Since I acted as the leader the whole trip (weeh? Wag magreact!), I decided that we must have reservations first for our tickets going back to Manila later that afternoon, roam around Mena Crisologo Street or the Vigan Heritage Village, then shop and dine lastly hit the road back to Manila.

Sadly, Partas Bus doesn’t have reservations pala for tickets. Haha! But at least we knew what time we have to leave Vigan. We went back and visited Vigan Cathedral (I was told I have to knock daw the Church’s door kung first time?), the clouds earlier were giving us a warning pala, it was gloomy but it was perfect for taking pictures and strolling the Mena Crisologo Street. The heritage Village has a different appeal at night compared that morning. Seriously, I was mesmerized of what I saw that day. I was thinking how many people set foot on that street. And there’s kinda eerie and astonishing feeling walking through it. Or maybe I felt different kasi we were drunk nga the night prior. hehehe

At around 10:30am, after all the shopping and camwhoring, we decided to take an early lunch and at exactly 12 noon, we bid farewell to Vigan.

Vacation Part 2: Vigan at Night

After 2 bus rides from Pagudpud to Laoag then Laoag to Vigan, we arrived at the latter at around 7 in the evening. Still, without a hotel to stay for that night and we’re kinda starving, luckily Cordillera Inn offered us a hotel stay in a room with 2 queen size beds, nice shower with heater, offers wifi and free breakfast for P1800. Shey, a tourism grad explained that, instead of havaing a vacancy, hotels do discounts in last minute. “sayang daw ang kita”. Hehehe. We’re about to look for other Hotels but we can’t refuse their offer. Another good thing about Cordillera Inn is that it’s along the main street or Mena Crisologo Street or the Vigan Heritage Village.

After we freshen up a bit, we decided to have our dinner in Café Leona, we had Longganisa, Seafood Salad and of course, Bagnet! We also ordered 2 bottles of red wine prior. After 30-40 minutes and paying our bill, we decided to take a walk. Funny thing was, I think we got tipsy with the wine. (lol, ewan ko ba we drunk a bottle before eating kasi). We were talking nonsense, taking pictures here and there, laughing at smallest things, shouting at group of Koreans who kept on following us and running ‘cause of the roaches! Hehehe. We were looking for a place where we can have dessert but we were so tired na. at around 10:30pm we decided to call it a day, took a shower then deep slumber.

Vacation Part 1: Pagudpud

First, we were planning to have our weekend vacation in Bohol but the night before; we changed plans and decided to go to Pagudpud and Vigan. The 3 of us met at MOA at around 6pm and had light dinner at Kimono Ken. At around 8:40pm we hailed a cab going to the bus station. It’s very economical for a P550 air-conditioned bus ride directly from Manila to Pagudpud, though some of my co passengers were a bit annoying making noises. And after 14 hours of sleeping-pretending to sleep pattern we arrived at Pagudpud. I was glad that it was a bit cloudy that day, a very good day to spend some time in the beach.

After we arrived at a municipal hall in Pagudpud we needed to take a 20km tricycle ride. It was quite expensive but that’s the only sort of transportation that’s accessible for us first timers there. I told my friend that I thought after 10 minutes I’ll get bored with the tricycle ride but no, there were lots of zigzag and torques. After 20-25 minutes we arrived at Hannah’s Beach Resort. We decided not to check in the hotel ‘cause we settle on spending the night at Vigan. We only payed P30 for the shower and CR, so we changed clothes in there as well. After that, we had lunch and tried some local foods such as Insarabasab.

We hit the beach after 40 minutes, laid our bags over towels on the sand. I know it’s not good to be under the sun at around 12 noon to 1:30pm! Haha! Minsan lang naman diba? :P

I once told someone I’m not a nature person. Walang signal ang parehong phone, walang net, ayaw ko sa may insekto. Pero all changed after seeing the Blue Lagoon. Pero siguro mas makakatagal ako kung may wifi! hahaha
